La Traviata! It was really nice, not as good as the performance by Opera Queensland I saw a few years ago; but given that it is a much newer company and a far smaller ensemble and orchestra it was quite good. (Also I can't really complain as I only paid $21 for the ticket, I am a youth! At least for a couple more months until I hit 27!) I was getting a bit cranky at the running commentary from the old dear behind me. No, it is not called a troop, they are neither military nor circus performers. No, the performance is not shorter because it was performed in english (WTF???), and no I don't want to hear about how stressful your 9-4.30 with a long lunchbreak public service job is....Let me tell you it isn't, try working a 50+ hour week in the real world!! End rant.
